The ADDIE and ASSURE models share several similarities and differences. Both models help teachers plan more effectively, focus on students` learning needs, focus on learner-centered instruction, and include methods to assess students` understanding. In terms of differences, ADDIE is a structured instructional design process. ADDIE follows the five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. These stages lead to designing meaningful experiences for each individual student. On the other hand, the ASSURE model mainly focuses on integrating technology and media into lesson planning. The ASSURE model is an evolved version of the ADDIE model. In my opinion, both models are beneficial for teachers and students. Teachers can make great use of both models depending on the content of the lesson, the objectives, and the specific needs of their students.
I like how you showed that the ASSURE model is an evolved version of ADDIE and pointed out that teachers can choose either model depending on lesson content and student needs.
