The ADDIE, ASSURE models are all instructional design that help teachers plan effective lessons, but they approach the process in different ways.
A similarity among them is that they all emphasize setting clear learning objectives and aligning activities with assessments to support student success.
One difference is that ADDIE provides step-by-step process for developing entire courses or units ( long term plan) , while ASSURE focuses more on planning individual lessons and integrating technology and active participation (short term plan or weekly plan)
I feel most comfortable using the ASSURE model because it is practical for daily lesson planning, student-centered, and helps me intentionally use media and strategies that keep learners engaged.
