Aspect | ADDIE Model | ASSURE Model |
Purpose | Large-scale curriculum or training development. | Day-to-day lesson planning and technology use. |
Main Steps | Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation | Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select Methods/Media/Materials, Utilize Media/Materials, Require Learner Participation, Evaluate & Revise |
Similarity | Both give a structured, step-by-step way to design, deliver, and evaluate instruction. | Same as ADDIE |
Difference | general and big-picture | More detailed for classroom use, with emphasis on learners and media integration. |
Personal Preference | — | more practical for teachers, but combining both gives structure (ADDIE) + classroom focus (ASSURE). |
I respect your point of view, but i think we can’t combine both ADDIE and ASSUTR models, because ASSURE model Essentially l is a media-oriented evolution of the ADDIE models, and considered a comprehensive instructional design system.
